Travellers of time and space

I have my semester's exams in coming days and I should be focusing on my academics right now. I am quite far behind my college's putative goals. Since these thoughts have been rigorously pulling me back, I thought there's not a better way to set them away by writing down what's been on my mind lately. Lacking both time and efforts I set my mind free presenting to you the travellers of time and space.

It was a usual day at college. Less interaction, everyone's hiding behind there concealed selves, we choose to speak on topics that doesn't force anyone come out of their normalcy. Walking towards the metro station from college, there was blaring sound of traffic so the conversations was even more exasperating. The range of discussion among the guys were circulating around music, upcoming events and future plans. In time, we reached the metro station. We decided to head to the last coach to find a seat. No surprises, there was no seat vacant. Boys shrugged and sat down on the floor. I succumbed to the peer pressure. It was when everyone got busy in their phones. I sat still and saw this.

Aren't we all just the travelers of time and space. I see strangers sitting on the either sides of the coach. We are all moving in same direction but have different purposes, different motives and different struggles and different stories. In this moment, we all come together in the journey. It's like million set of perspectives, beliefs and ideas in the same frame.

We are constantly moving in a direction, the train stops at stations. Some people go out and some people come in to take their space. The movement continues, till the train terminates and starts again from the end station. Are we going to evolve or this cycle is going to continue forever. We can't let conformity take over us otherwise we might just become stories embedded in time and space. We may not go in different directions but at least we will reach somewhere different and this will create a new path for others to look into. How many of dare to follow our dreams. We are afraid of carving things for ourselves, and creating what does not exist in the present. We have to realise that we are here to create, explore, experience and evolve and our time is short.

Sitting here, I know I'm distinctly separate. I am the absence of this metro and the other passengers as well. There is some sort of truth to this but I don't know why can't we find some credence for this. A society so drubbed in material lust can't see what lays there for us. The answers don't lie in our perceptions. I am not sure what will be the driving force for people to awaken but sooner and later it's going to happen. What I do know is for some it's going to painful, uneasy and disturbing and for some liberating and serene. Acension will have it's own repercussions but they are necessary for us to grow. Till then we just go on will the walks and discussions pretending to be all sane and normal.
