Unrest in kashmir, the week that saw the same cliched headlines of curfews and disruption. Burhan Wani, a youth of Kashmir that had taken arms against the state to complete his part of the vows after being trained extensively by the operators of insurgency was executed by the Indian army. The same operators who were left red faced when the people of Kashmir came in thriving numbers to choose and elect their government representatives. It was when people chose future not guns. After these years, the silent forces in the valley still vigilant because no political party not even the BJP has been able to diminish the presence of fanatic ideologies that still lingers in the valley and cries of ethnic bloodshed of Kashmiri minorities.
Burhan Wani was only 15 when he took up arms to fight the state and purportedly had bounty of Rs 10 lakh. He is reported to have recruited more than 100 people into Hizbul Mujahideen, a designated terrorist organization in India, United Kingdom and United States of America. It would be politically incorrect, to show a mirror to the people right now when the emotions are running wild among people. The children who are shoved on the streets to get answers from the state machineries. Army is there to stabilize the region from the fuelling hatred that sparks from across the border and spreads like wildfire here in India. The kids are used as human shields and are effective in derailing the armed forces from their stabalizing the region.
The country was appalled at the decision of government into curbing the freedom of press to detail the reports of the events happening on the ground. The media reports of CRPF's use of pellet guns surfaced when pictures of kids with pellet marks were shared across media platforms. The narrative of terrorists were pushed as youth leader, the new face of Kashmiri separatists. Barkha Dutt even went on to describe Burhan Wani as a "Son of a school headmaster" trying to illicit the sympathy of people. The pernicious influence of the mainstream media puts the army personnel in jeopardy and undermines their effort to reinstate peace in the region . The left liberal has celebrated the militancy of terrorists and it is not new to them. Afzal Guru, the mastermind of parliament attack was awarded the title of martyrdom by the leftist groups. The press freedom should not be curtailed in any manner. It only shows the weakness of the state in handling the affairs. The people ought to know the situation on the ground. The media will otherwise also not leave a chance to be inimical.
There could be 100 other Burhan Wanis trained by operators in Pakistan. It won't matter how well equipped they are with AK-47 or M19s it won't make a difference to Indian army. Neither it will to the masters in Pakistan who have propagated their ideologies so well that the brainwashed youth of Kashmir is ready to slit throats to attain a piece of heaven for himself. Indian army will do justice to the terrorists with equal measure. The youth of Kashmir should know this. The day you pick up arms to fight for a cause is the day you have given Indian army the permission to defend the borders of the nation. The separatist leaders have no conscience of their own. They have been balancing between the Indian authorities and Pakistani forces. It's where the money flows. The separatist leaders are ideologically bankrupt and they have been handed a string in their hands which makes them a stakeholder in the lives of Kashmiris. The minds of Kashmiris are replaced by world dominance of Islam with a vision of introducing a Islamic Utopia. The separatists have hijacked the minds of Kashmiris and pelting stones is the only viable option they have since their Salafi ideologies have distanced themselves from the democratic set up of the country. Clerics in Kashmir have declared Ahmediya and Shias as non Muslims. The discrimination is brutal and can't be irresponsibly looked over. The day armed forces will leave the valley the advocates of human rights will see the minorities in the valley being trampled over by the proponents of Kashmiri freedom movement.
Kashmir has become a playground for all anti India forces at work. The women and children bear the brunt of such immoderation of fanatic Islamic degeneracy. No state can give freedom to kashmiris from a vicious mindset they've adopted. The same youth of Kashmir is celebrating the Islamic caliphate by raising flags of ISIS. We can only hope to come to a peaceful solution that doesn't put the Ahemdiyas, Shias and other minorities under the risk. We already have Pakistan who has discarded democracy and ideas of pluralism. Indian state can't afford another Pakistan breeding terrorists in the neighbourhood. Separatists and Leftists will keep pushing their agenda even if it comes at the cost of national security. The conundrum of current affairs can be solved when the government of India steers away the curtains of Kashmir that blindfold the youth of a picturesque view of future where a young kashmiri is free to dream and live.
